STEPHEN P. PLONSKI is an Associate in the Pittsburgh regional office. Mr. Plonski was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1996 from The Pennsylvania State University – The Behrend college, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and was awarded the Honors Award Certificate for History. Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law in 1999. For 21.5 years, Mr. Plonski was employed with another Pittsburgh regional insurance defense firm where he successfully developed a diverse and expansive litigation practice involving representation of corporate, individual and insurance company clients from pre-suit negotiations up through, and including, trial and appellate practice. During this time, Mr. Plonski was actively involved in several matters of distinction including Stephens v. Paris Cleaners, Anslinger v. Sheetz and Regis Ins. Co. v. All- American Rathskeller
.Mr. Plonski continues to focus his practice on civil defense litigation in the State and Federal Courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia including defense in Product Liability, Bodily Injury Defense, Appellate Practice, Professional Liability, Construction Law, Premises Liability, Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith, Professional Liability, Nursing Home Malpractice, Oil and Gas Litigation, Automobile and Trucking Litigation, Subrogation, Toxic Torts, and General Liability matters.
Mr. Plonski is admitted to practice before the Courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as The United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and The United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Mr. Plonski is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Mr. Plonski enjoys spending free-time with his family and friends; he is an avid of fan of Penn State athletics; and, he finds great enjoyment in playing guitar and writing and composing songs.
