KRISTIN MUTZIG is a partner in the firm’s General Litigation and Casualty group. She works out of both the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Mt. Laurel, New Jersey offices. Her practice primarily includes defending all types of claims involving auto liability (commercial & private vehicles), premises liability (slip & fall, negligent security and collapses) and products liability (defects & failure to warn). She has also successfully defended students who was wrongfully treated and/or disciplined by their respective Universities.
Since joining Swartz Campbell, Ms. Mutzig has successfully defended government entities, private entities, public transportation entities, trucking companies, construction companies, commercial properties, insurance companies and private individuals in all stages of litigation. She has not only obtained an abundance of favorable awards at both the arbitration level and major jury level, but she has also obtained summary judgment on several occasions, as well as successfully represented her clients’ interest in Pennsylvania’s appellate courts. And because of her aggressive advocacy on behalf of her clients, Ms. Mutzig has effectively negotiated favorable settlements under authority making her clients extremely pleased with the result.
Prior to joining Swartz Campbell, Ms. Mutzig was an Associate at a mid-size Philadelphia law firm specializing in insurance defense where she litigated hundreds of claims involving auto liability (involving both first and third party coverage, as well as UM and UIM coverage), products liability, and premises liability. She also helped resolve and counsel her clients on several insurance coverage disputes.
Ms. Mutzig obtained her B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Mutzig served as a legal intern for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and volunteered at a Legal Aid Clinic where she extended her efforts in helping obtain immigration status of an illegal alien. Ms. Mutzig was also a part-time legal assistant at a large Philadelphia firm in the personal injury and insurance subrogation departments.
