EDMUND K. JOHN, a partner in the Philadelphia Office, concentrates his practice in complex litigation, toxic and environmental torts and products liability. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
From 1995 through 2001, Mr. John served as an Arbitrator for asbestos personal injury claims filed against the Fibreboard Company. He has also served as an Arbitrator for the asbestos personal injury claims filed against the Celotex Corporation. Mr. John is a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the American, Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Mr. John concentrates his practice in class actions, complex civil litigation, toxic and environmental torts, and products liability.
Mr. John graduated cum laude from Villanova University in 1972 with a degree in Political Science and from Temple University School of Law in 1975. He also received an LLM in Taxation from Temple University School of Law in 1978. He was a member of the United States Navy JAG Corps from 1972 through 1979. He was a Director of Law at the Center for Claims Resolution from 1988 through 1993.
Before joining Swartz Campbell, Mr. John had a successful private practice in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He still resides in Malvern, with his wife Leslie. The pair has four children.
