Pamela A. Maginnis

PAMELA A. MAGINNIS is a partner and head of the Philadelphia office’s Products Liability and Toxic Tort Litigation Department. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Maginnis focuses her practice on products liability, premises liability, and toxic torts. She is also experienced in defending general liability matters, including personal injury, commercial transportation, and construction defect cases.

Ms. Maginnis serves as national coordinating counsel as well as local counsel throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey for dozens of asbestos and talc clients including product manufacturers, product suppliers, premises owners, independent contractors, and employers.

Since joining Swartz Campbell, Ms. Maginnis has obtained dismissals of claims and cross-claims against her clients through motions practice at both the pleadings and discovery phases of litigation. Ms. Maginnis obtained a defense verdict in a jury trial on behalf of an employer-defendant in an asbestos-related cancer case in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Maginnis has conducted fact witness cross-examinations resulting in the dismissals of product manufacturers, premises owners, and employers in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Superior Court of New Jersey in Middlesex County. She has been involved in the settlement negotiations of hundreds of cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Ms. Maginnis received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in History from Fordham University. She resides in Philadelphia, but is a proud Delco native.
