ALLISON TEXTER is an Equity Member of Swartz Campbell practicing in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. Ms. Texter concentrates her practice on the representation of clients in product-liability litigation, insurance defense, and general liability matters. Ms. Texter enjoys representing corporations, insureds, and individuals in matters including, but not limited to asbestos matters; pharmaceutical claims; medical device defects; construction defects; premises claims; business licensing matters, and; automotive/trucking accidents.
Before joining Swartz Campbell, Ms. Texter served as a Deputy Attorney General for the Delaware Department of Justice prosecuting the most serious felony matters, including homicides and sex offenses. Ms. Texter was appointed Assistant Unit Head of the Misdemeanor Trial Unit and Unit Head of the Sex Crimes Unit during her tenure in the Criminal Division. Ms. Texter also had the experience of defending State agencies in civil litigation while working in the DOJ Civil Division.
Ms. Texter is trained as a Mediator by the Superior Court of the State of Delaware and holds the Title IX Hearing Officer & Decision Maker Certification from ATIXA.
Ms. Texter received her Juris Doctor from the Widener University School of Law where her distinctions include membership in the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and the Moot Court Honor Society. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics from Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City.
Ms. Texter is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and is admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Delaware, the Supreme Court of the State of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
