WILLIAM A. JONES has acted as trial counsel for, and supervised the preparation of, numerous product liability, medical malpractice, toxic tort, chemical and asbestos exposure claims. He has tried to verdict numerous suits involving claims for nonmalignant diseases, lung cancers, colon cancers, laryngeal cancers, and mesothelioma in both the state and federal Courts in the Philadelphia area.
Additionally, he has represented clients in large property damage claims and in mass tort class action suits. Along with trial experience in toxic tort/chemical exposure suits and medical malpractice suits, he has handled numerous civil rights defense claims for municipalities throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, and Federal Court commercial litigation for a national telecommunications corporation. Mr. Jones is a member of the American, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Jones attended Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of Pennsylvania in 1976. Before starting college, Mr. Jones spent three years in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Jones is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.
